Visiting Four Seasons Resort Seychelles for the Day
Perched above the turquoise curve of Petite Anse, nestled within Mahé’s lush jungle hills, Four Seasons Seychelles is one of the most exclusive resorts in the world. Known for its private hillside villas, impeccable service and £2,000+ per night price tag, this is the kind of place most only dream of staying. But what many don’t realise is that you don’t actually have to book a villa to enjoy it for the day.
Gaining Access
The resort doesn’t officially advertise day passes, but access is possible with a little planning. The beach at Petite Anse is public, so you can technically reach it via a walking trail from Baie Lazare. However, the easier—and more comfortable—way is through the main entrance, where polite inquiry often goes a long way. If you're visiting to dine, or book spa treatments, you'll be welcomed at the gate.
We parked up outside the gate and we were allowed into the resort for free. On some occasions, visitors have paid a fee of around €20 for beach access or opted for a higher-value day package that includes food and spa credit (reportedly around €350 per person). Always call ahead to check availability and current policies.
The Beach
Petite Anse is one of the most beautiful beaches in Seychelles. White sand, framed by granite boulders, and calm waters that shift from aquamarine to deep blue. Because it’s accessed mainly through the resort, the beach feels quiet and exclusive, even though it's public by law. There are no beach vendors or crowds—just loungers, towels, and attentive staff, if you're a resort guest or day visitor through the official route.
Dining at the Resort
Whether you’re stopping for lunch, a cocktail, or sunset dinner, Four Seasons’ dining options are worth the visit alone. ZEZ, the hillside restaurant, offers panoramic views and elegant plates, while Kannel by the beach is more relaxed, serving fresh seafood, sushi, and Seychellois dishes. Prices reflect the setting—expect mains around €10–€70, cocktails from €20. Booking ahead is essential, especially during peak season.
What to Expect
A visit to Four Seasons for the day offers a taste of the full experience: beautifully manicured grounds, friendly service, and a sense of serenity that’s hard to find elsewhere. You’ll be offered buggy rides to navigate the hilly landscape, and staff are generally accommodating to non-guests who arrive respectfully and with a reservation.
It’s not a budget-friendly outing, but if you’re after a memorable day in Seychelles with a touch of indulgence, it’s one of the best you’ll find.
