Seychelles

Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar. Known for its white-sand beaches, granite boulders, and coral reefs, it’s a popular destination for honeymooners, divers, and nature lovers. The main island, Mahé, is home to the capital Victoria and the country’s international airport. The official languages are English, French, and Seychellois Creole. The local currency is the Seychellois rupee. Seychelles has a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round and two main seasons influenced by the monsoon winds. Tourism is well-developed, with a mix of high-end resorts and smaller guesthouses. Island-hopping is common, with ferries and domestic flights connecting Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. The country places a strong emphasis on sustainability, and nearly half of its land is protected. Popular activities include snorkelling, scuba diving, hiking, and birdwatching. Visas are not required for most nationalities, though accommodation bookings must be confirmed in advance. Seychelles offers an accessible tropical escape with unique biodiversity and pristine natural settings.
