Best Restaurants in Dubai
Whether youβre in the mood for sipping cocktails by the Burj Khalifa or tucking into Greek food with your toes in the sand β Dubaiβs got you covered. From sky-high lounges to beachside gems, the list of restaurants here is genuinely endless. I always say Iβll go back to the same place β I really do β but somehow, every week, I end up discovering somewhere new and convincing myself it counts as βresearch.β
This city just keeps serving up more. One minute Iβm at a rooftop bar looking out over the skyline, the next Iβve stumbled into a hidden veggie spot I didnβt even know existed. Iβve managed to whittle the list to 12 favouritesβ¦ for now. Honestly, at this point, I should probably stay at home and cook β but whereβs the fun in that?
So here it is: 12 spots worth getting dressed up for. Enjoy β and donβt blame me when your calendar (and your bank balance) starts filling up.
1. Fish Taverna.
My absolute favourite restaurant in Dubai! With a traditional Santorini style entrance and design, it completely transports you to the Greek Isles. Located at the Le MΓ©ridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort with full views of the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina. Book in advance to guarantee that exclusive spot on the beach!
2. Trattoria Toscana.
Located at the world-famous Souk Madinat Jumeirah. The restaurant is situated right by the water where youβll see many Abras sailing past. Itβs the perfect date night location! Who doesnβt enjoy Italian food with a view?
3. The Beach House.
Located at the beautiful Anantara hotel on the Palm Jumeirah. The menu consists of many Mediterranean favourites and pizzas. Situated right on the beach - the perfect place to drink cocktails with your girlfriends.
4. Nammos.
Probably the most expensive restaurant Iβve ever been to, however, the food and service were impeccable! Itβs taken from the Greek island of Mykonos and placed on the Jumeriah beach. With the dreamy architecture, design and entertainment, youβre guaranteed the most wonderful experience. Located at the Four Seasons Resort.
5. The Social House.
The ultimate place to see the Dubai Fountain show from your dining table. Located at the entrance of the Dubai Mall underneath the Apple Store. The menu offers a wide variety of many cuisines, however, there is no alcohol served here. The fountains dance every 30 minutes which is an experience youβll never get tired of!
6. The Bungalow.
If youβre looking for a fun night out, with arcade machines, pool tables and live music then this is the place for you. Located at La Mer with unbroken views of the Arabian Gulf.
7. Siddharta Lounge by Buddha-Bar.
A great place to enjoy a mixture of Mediterranean dishes and Asian favourites. There is a modern, urban ambience with incredible 360 views of the Dubai Marina skyscrapers. Outside location on the 4th floor of the Grosvenor House.
8. Shimmers.
Another one of my absolute favourites! Whether you go for lunch with your girlfriends or have drinks and shisha on the beach at night - you will not be disappointed. The restaurant boasts the best views of the Burj Al Arab, located at the Jumeirah Mina A'Salam hotel.
9. Wavehouse.
A place full of fun, where you can watch the surfers on the wave machine, drink cocktails, play on the arcades, have a game of bowling and relax on the swinging seats. The food is so gooooood - check out the epic rainbow sliders! Plus there are live bands to keep you entertained. Located at Atlantis on the Palm Jumeirah.
10. Asia Asia.
This is another restaurant at Pier 7, for all you Asian food lovers out there. Itβs best enjoyed by getting a big group of friends together and ordering everything off the menu. Youβll thank me laterβ¦ (drools!) The view is also undeniably amazing!
11. Opa.
Ready to smash some plates just like the Greeks? You start off with a sit-down meal, then you are entertained by the waiters as they dance the Zorba. This is when you are given plates to smash, which is strange at first - but highly amusing. You are then given the chance to join in with the dancing around the whole restaurant. Itβs a fun night out! Get ready to say Opa 100 times. Located at the Fairmont at the World Trade Center.
12. Skafos.
Just 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai, you reach the old town of Bur Dubai. Skafos is located in Al Seef which is a new area, however, it takes you back to the countryβs original heritage. You can enjoy delicious Greek food overlooking Dubai Creek. Itβs the perfect indoor/outdoor setting.
