Crete is the largest of the Greek Islands, located right in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea. The capital city is Heraklion, however, the Chania area is where you’ll find the luxury hotels, sandy beaches and the picturesque Old Town. Crete also offers ancient ruins, incredible cuisine and hidden gems to be found.
Most tourists choose Crete for the sun, sea and beaches, which is exactly why my sisters and I chose the island for our summer holiday, back in 2015.
