Travel Guides:

Taiwan

Taiwan is an island in East Asia, located off the southeastern coast of China. It is known for its dynamic cities, night markets, mountainous terrain, and subtropical coastline. Taipei, the capital, is a modern city with excellent transport, street food, and cultural attractions like the National Palace Museum and Longshan Temple. Mandarin is the official language, and the New Taiwan dollar is the currency. English is commonly used in signage and by younger generations. Taiwan has a humid subtropical climate, with typhoon season typically running from June to October. High-speed trains and local rail services make travel around the island efficient and easy. Natural attractions include Taroko Gorge, Alishan, and the beaches of Kenting. Taiwan has strong public healthcare, a high standard of living, and a reputation for safety. It is not part of the Schengen Area or China’s visa system and maintains its own entry requirements. Popular with food lovers, hikers, and urban explorers, Taiwan offers a well-rounded, accessible travel experience.
